Portraits and other painting commissions

You can commission a portrait or painting via the Contact Form on this site – just get in touch to discuss your requirements with no obligation.

I have a long list of happy customers for my child, dance and pet portraits – you can rest assured that your needs will be met. See below plus my Testimonials page for comments from happy clients.

Portraits and landscape or seascape commissions can be created in oils, acrylics or watercolour to your required size. You do need to supply adequate photos for me to work from.

Commissioned painting of a holiday memory, the Dolomites and turquoise Lake Carezza. The clients said ” We love the finished painting, it’s just how we imagined it, and thank you for taking so much trouble to get it right.” July 2022.

I will email photos as the work progresses to you if you wish, allowing you to have input.

Prices depend on size, the number of figures ( in a portrait), and the hours involved. See the price table below these examples of my portrait work:

Here are the owner’s photos I worked from – one too light and one too dark, so I adjusted the colours in my painting to show their beauty. The owners said “ Wow, Jan, that’s brilliant!” April 2022.

All commissions are presented unframed to allow the client to choose his/her own frame to suit their taste and decor, and to avoid the risk of damage to the frame in transit.
